Marrickville – Waterloo – Martin Place Standard and Long Cross Passages

About This Project

Project Description: Zoomwave provided the concrete lining of the cross passages underground to connect two rail network tunnels. This was an element of the Sydney Metro project, where tunnels were created at Marrickville to connect the new metro station at Waterloo.

Scope Of Work: Our job in this location was to provide concrete linings for 22 standard cross passages 8 metres in length. This job had its own set of challenges which included constructing a number of long passages to connect underground train tunnels that are up to 85 metres apart. This issue was addressed by utilising pre-fab forms to deliver into the excavated tunnels and line the cross passages.
